EAT GOAT

Correction: Ralph Cahoon's Goon Squad (aka Barnstable Deserves Better) isn't running the recall against John Norman as previously stated.

It is the Barnstable Coalition for Fair Governement lead by Joakim's neighbor Mary Lyons and supported by Janet Joakim, Meg Loughran, and Peter Leveroni who hold this honor. Stephanie Adams of Marstons Mills is allegedly the local contact for the recall. Stephanie appears to be some kind of shrink. Perhaps, she should put some of her supporters on the couch.

I'm still try to confirm reports of "bare breasted geriatrics dancing in the firelight to Joakim's incantations." If you have any additional information on this event, please let us know.
I wonder sometimes if we could do without Town Council altogether. None of these so-called elected officials do anything - except chew on each other.

I heard that Janet Joakim has joined forces with Ralph "The Goon" Cahoon to promote the recall of respected councilor John Norman. Joakim reportedly made an appearance at a meeting held deep in the woods of the Mills.

As word of bare breasted geriatrics dancing in the firelight to Joakim's incantations surfaced, hundreds of RECALL JOAKIM bump stickers were dusted and spread across Centerville.

The super-secretive Goon Squad responded to this security breech by purging their Facebook roster. 25 of 48 members suspected of disloyalty were un-friended in a single night.

There is even talk of a recall effort aimed at Council President Fred Chirigotis, but RECALL Chirigotis doesn't roll easily off the tongue. RECALL THE GOAT was considered. I prefer EAT GOAT. It fits neatly on the bumper of a car.

Commenting on this mess, your name required wrote:
If Norman is recalled, Joakim and Chirigotis shall be as well. Support is growing by the minute.
You can't make this stuff up. All this was told to me.

The citizens of Barnstable should sign a petition saying we have NO CONFIDENCE in the TOWN COUNCIL, or the TOWN MANAGER. The town of Barnstable is a SAD and DISGUSTING PLACE TO LIVE AND BRING UP OUR CHILDREN. With all that is going on between the town council and the town manager, who would want too buy a house or open a business in barnstable. Barnstable`s town leaders should be ashamed of themselves.
BARNSTABLE IS IN A SAD STATE OF MIND!

I think we should appeal to the State and ask them to take over administration of the town.

You have things a little mixed up in your post.

It is not Ralph Cahoon's group which is called "Barnstable Deserves Better" that is supporting the recall. It is the group called "Barnstable Coalition for Fair Governement" that is behind the recall. The BCFG is run by a woman from Centerville named Mary Lyons and the person running the John Norman recall is a woman from Precinct 12.

Who is running the recall of Norman. What is her name?

Tomorrow is tax day in Barnstable. If you'd like to get a good pulse on how people feel about the town, go talk to the people who wait in line to pay their taxes at town hall on the day that they are due. ALways a long line and always good conversation. People are not happy.
Many of the conversations are actually comical and it might be a good place to get recall signatures in the parking lot. Just sayin'.

The moron named Mary Lyons is very likely a Joakim puppet. She lives right around the corner from Joakim. What we need is to put ALL of this entire BS in a handout telling the voters in Barnstable the ENTIRE TRUTH and  get the real truth out about Chirigotis and Klimm and the other council pukes who all schemed this crap up.

We have every intention of getting this entire episode investigated and when this is complete, trust me, people will know the TRUTH about all of this. It clearly appears that Klimm and Chirigotis both schemed this crap up and the other 64k question is, WHO ELSE KNEW?

You see, it is their scheme to smear and discredit Canedey, Crocker, Farnham, Munafo, Milne and Norman. See, what this all amounts to is Klimm and Chirigotis getting a total 100% CONTROL of our town, and how will they do this? Why of course..... SMEAR these six and then have pukes like Lyons an Cahoon go out and get candidates fpor them...

Is is PUTRID and SICKENING just like KLIMM, CHIRIGOTIS, LYONE, CAHOON and every damn one of them.

When all this unfolds, we will need to go to the dump.... AGAIN. And hand out flyers with ALL of this scheme and we will let the voters know WHO to vote for and WHO NOT TO!

Get ready because come October we WILL be doing this. As for any of these INNOCENT SIX being recalled, if this happens, we will do the same with handout flyers to EVERY VOTER in the precinct letting them all know about this sickening scheme.

In the meantime, Gary Lopez and I are refiling our Open Meeting Law Complaints again tomorrow morning...

These people are sick and IF ANYONE NEEDS TO BE RECALLED, it is the worm Fred Chirigotis! The mnan is a WORM and I plan to say this right to his face!

Ralph Cahoon is one of the biggest losers of all time in the Town of Barnstable. The guy is a complete loser moron. And as for the comment about the state coming in and running our town...

Ordinarily I would disagree but in this case, I would be inclined to agree. But one thing that we do know is that the AG's office is watching the town like a hawk and they know about everything going on here. Gary Lopez spent close to an hour last week with one of the AG's lawyers and they know a lot of what is going on here, trust me. In the meantime,  this current pack of so called councillors and this supposed 'manager' are nothing but a bunch of LIARS, CHEATERS and THIEVES!

HOW LONG have we been saying this? Too bad this town did not have even ONE responsible journalist to admit this damn truth!

Did you know that when HAC pulls a voucher, the landlord gets stuck with the responsibility (and cost) of evicting the tenant.  Why anyone does business with HAC is a mystery to me.

I heard the town of Yarmouth will be VOTING for a 287-Million Dollar WASTE WATER override this month. I have not seen this mentioned in any of the newspapers. I do know some residents who live in yarmouth, I contacted them and they have not heard or seen a word about this 287-MILLION DOLLAR WASTE WATER OVER-RIDE.
I was wondering if the town of Yarmouth leaders are taking lessons from the town of Barnstable leaders. That lesson is KEEP VOTERS and CITIZENS OF YOUR TOWN IN THE DARK.
IF ANYONE KNOWS SOMEONE TO CONTACT IN YARMOUTH AND WARN THE RESIDENTS AND VOTERS THAT THERE IS A GROUP TRYING TO SNEAK IN A 287-MILLION DOLLAR OVER-RIDE VOTE BEHIND THEIR BACKS.
The people whom I contacted said they can not afford the extra yearly $333.00 tax increase.

FYI said...

The vote in Yarmouth is September 12 and it is for just the first phase of the sewer project with a cost of $55 million dollars. Yarmouth has adopted a financing model the does not require betterments of any kind. All costs for the Yarmouth sewers will shared by all taxpayers across the board.

Bugsy said...

Yes, and the $8.64 tax rate will jump to $11.23 and the average single family home tax bill will jump $860 from $2,774 to $3,634. When you consider that Yarmouth (and, all of the Cape) is about to lose ALL Federal discretionary spending over the next three years, one has to consider if now is the time to raise the tax rate to finance sewers.

See: http://www.capecog.com/capecog/2011/07/someone-put-me-on-the-distribution-list-for-yarmouths-wastewater-management-environmental-impact-report.html

Tell ur yarmouth friends to check with their town clerk before they go to the dump.  Even if they spend ten cents making the "vote no" sign, it is an expence towards influencing a ballot question, which means they need to register with the clerk.

Yes Tinsley did return his papers but his race with Cronin may not be a key race depending on how the other races playout. All of the incumbents have challengers so each race is equally important.

Also the BCFG is having a meeting tonight and both the Tinsley/Cronin race and the John Norman recall. Also the BCFG is now a PAC with required paperwork filed with Linda Hutchenrider

You may be correct, but I have a very hard time believing that June is even qualified for the position. I saw here at the Klimm-fest and she didn't impress me and her "booth" with the precinct map didn't draw much interest.

ynr said...

All races have been set. Only Russo in Cotuit washed out. Joakim's hysterical need to micromanage BCFG to the exclusion of others may be its greatest weakness at this point.

Bugsy said...

I wonder, will Joakim publicly call for the recall of another sitting Councilor? I've NEVER known of an electing official calling for the recall of another elected official. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing or is this another first for Barnstable's All American City government?

FYI said...

Janet Joakim is not running the BCFG as for her calling for a recall of another councilor, which councilor do you mean? The John Norman recall is being handled by a resident from Marstons Mills.

Bugsy said...

Everyone knows that Janet Joakim "supports" the recall of John Norman and there are reports that she has "spoken" on the topic. I have not read a "written" endorsement of the recall effort by her, but it is a stated goal of the BCFG.

If Janet Joakim does not support a stated goal of the BCFG, why is she present at their gatherings?

FYI said...

Since the BCFG membership list is not public how do you know she has attended the meetings? The only statement of support she has made in the last 2 months has been for John Klimm

yournamerequired said...

Joakim crawled all over that org, attended their first meetings and helped them get organized.  She's only slightly backing off now because she's looking down the barrel of her own recall.  The BCFG is a secret organization and you can't be a member unless you pass their smell test.  Just as voters outside her village helped with Joakim's recall, so are outsiders, including Joakim, helping with Norman's recall.  She might deny it, like she denies everything, but it's common knowledge that she's involved.

Bugsy said...

That's a tough precinct...very low voter registration levels and even lower turn-outs. The GHCA is doing some good work in the area and that might be of help Cronin (who is the current President).

Bugsy said...

Did anyone notice that the stock market is in the process of collapsing?

gumba said...

Mary Lyons and TOM DOLBY are registered as officers of the coalition PAC.  I suspect Tom Dolby doesn't know what he's getting himself into!

The PAC is supporting, but not running the recall.  The recall is being initiated by some shrink with an office in Hyannis and a small home in Norman's precinct.

It's been over a month of talk about the recall, and if they don't have enough certified signatures yet, then they don't have enough support to get 20% to the polls.  I doubt Norman will even fight the recall.  With nothing else on the ballot, it's unlikely that more than a few hundred people in P12 would come out to vote.  Recalling other councilors is an amusing idea, but probably not worth the effort.  Getting 4-5 hundred people to vote on any single precinct issue is next to impossible.  Joakim is easy to dislike.  Norman is a decent guy, and most folks in his precinct like and respect him.

Bugsy said...

Tom, eh? I'll have to give him a call and see what he's up to these days..

Bugsy said...

FYI said...

The voter turnout in precinct 9 has not always been enemic has it been in the last 2-3 elections.  In fact the change in voter turnout coincided with the election of Greg Milne to the precinct 9 seat 1999. This was back when there were just 11 seats on the council.  Prior to Greg Milne being elected voter turn out in precinct from 600 voters on up. Since 1999 the turnout has been around 350.

Bugsy said...

It is also the case that the demographics of the area changed. You can't entirely blame Greg for boring everyone into submission.

FYI said...

The expansion of Precincts from 11 to 13 was a big part of the change a large part of what is now Precinct 13 was part of precinct 9.  This back when Gloria Rudman was the Precinct 9 councilor. She regularly recored anywhere from 300 to 500 votes from 1989-1999. When Greg Milne ran in 1999 he barely broke 200 votes with just 207 and a margin of victory of just 15 votes.

Bugsy said...

In case you missed it, the market crashed today...

It seems rather silly to me that our illustrious Town Council is meeting today to review open meeting complaints when they should be considering plans to batten down the hatches, cut taxes and spending, and focus on providing services to those most in need.

Naw...not in Barnstable.

FYI said...

Calm down, the market has been volitile for the last ten days due to the debt ceiling crisis in Washington D.C. Today there was a change in the EU regarding the Euro which triggered a selloff. I have spent the afternoon watch CNBC and while there is concern over today's drop there is no one calling it a crisis at this point.
