"I like the Walrus best," said Alice, "because you see he was a little sorry for the poor oysters."I still have not figured out why we are having this conversation. How did we lose sight of the idea that our government serves us.
"He ate more than the Carpenter, though," said Tweedledee. "You see he held his handkerchief in front, so that the Carpenter couldn't count how many he took: contrariwise."
"That was mean!" Alice said indignantly. "Then I like the Carpenter best—if he didn't eat so many as the Walrus."
"But he ate as many as he could get," said Tweedledum.
This was a puzzler. After a pause, Alice began, "Well! They were both very unpleasant characters—"
Is this about Grissom's boorish behavior in Cotuit? Did Klimm drive "outside his lane" to protect his niece? Did Chirigotis over-react and make a bad situation much worse? Remember, it was Munafo who called for the resignation of Fred Chirigotis - as well as - the Town Manager. Or, is Crocker just trying to eat too many oysters.
More importantly, why are there children with little or no political education placing their names on the ballot from papered addresses in bids to council us?
Do you really think that the name Richardson means anything in Hyannis? Will the affordable housing list, like the street light list, be used, AGAIN. Only this time to unseat an established candidate to secure for the Town Manager his legacy. And what is this legacy - affordable homes with no jobs, a new downtown, or is there more than vanity at play here in Blunderland?
I'm with Alice.
I just want to know why do they eat so much?

I think this whole mess is about money - control of resources. When the over-rides failed, there wasn't enough chicken in the pot of feed 13 hungry children.
The folks we have in charge aren't able to make difficult decisions. They aren't managing anything. They are incapable of articulating priorities. All they know how to do is spend and when the spending slowly, we saw their true characters.
Hey this is a great post this morning, right on and your comments are dead right on as well. As for this cat Richardson, this is pitiful. We will need to HELP Jim Munafo this summer and early fall. Let's get the message out about this. We can get some flyers and go door to door in Munafo's precinct and just TELL the people there what is going on. Roy Richardson and his son-in-law Chirigotis can shove it. And I watched the re-runs of a few on gary's blog this morning. I did not realize that when i told Prez Chirigotis that i had a "constitutional RIGHT to speak" that he said, "NO, YOU DON'T!"
Hey Fred you piece of garbage, I HAVE SOME NEWS FOR YOU PAL! YES, I DAMN DO have a CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT to speak ANY DAMN TIME I PLEASE in a PUBLIC ASSEMBLY AT THE BARNSTABLE TOWN COUNCIL MEETING, and if you ever say that again, I will have his ass before the ACLU Layers and the MASS BAR ASSOCIATION! This man is an ATTORNEY? Fred, where did you get your law degree, from your FATHER-IN-LAW?!
These guys are both complete IDIOTS!

I don't think that the challengers in West Hyannis, Osterville, or West Bansntable are capable of contributing solutions to our town. They may know how to raise their hands on que, but like James Tinseley, they know little else.
And, I think the folks who started this mutiny - for whatever reasons- should be given an opportunity to finish what they started.

The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To talk of many things:
Of shoes—and ships—and sealing-wax—
Of cabbages—and kings—
And why the sea is boiling hot—
And whether pigs have wings."
cherry goat was splitting hairs with you, John. Speaking at a BTC meeting is not a right granted to you by the U.S. constitution, but rather by the council itself. They can dictate when and for how long you speak. You also mentioned something about "changing the leader" when things go bad. Chirigotis, like Joakim before him, is the one who needs to be removed, since he is elected. Crocker got greedy and delusional and charged in with six. He should've waited for seven. Bad move, and it's going to cost him. Bigtime.
Sorry but I have news for you and for the punk Chirigotis. In FACT YES I DO HAVE A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO SPEAK since this was a PUBLIC ASSEMBLY FOR A SPECIFIC PURPOSE of which I was there like everyone else for that specific purpose of the public assembly. So if this idiot Freddie thinks he knows more than I do, good let him. I will hand him his ass on a platter with the ACLU Lawyers and the MASS Board of Bar Overseers faster than this little punk can blink his eyes.
As for Crocker and your view of all this I am sorry but I have to disagree. I am not a Crocker fan nor am I a fan of any of these councillors but at leat they (SOME) finally woke up to the fact than KLIMM IS THE PROBLEM! Is the council a problem? Yes, they are but the focus first has to be on this moron Klimm. He has run our town like he owns it and he thinks he is GOD!
Klimm has a few of these clueless idiots wrapped right around his finger, the seven IDIOTS: Chirigotis, Rugo, Barry, Dagwan, Barton, Joakim and Tinsley. Two are supposed Attorneys and neither of them in my opinion even has half a brain. HOW either passed the bar is a mystery to me.
In the meantime, I have another direction I plan to go in and in time hope to have a very big investigation here. Say your prayers, it could help everyone in this town.
<span>Chirigotis did a very poor job of handling the few speakers who didn't buy into the all Klimm-all Worship program. His stock has fallen. A few years ago he prersented himself as a pretty reasonable guy. Not any more...
</span>
You are right about Chirigotis. He did in fact do a horrid job of handling the negative speakers in the Klimm deal the other night. Don't think that 99% of the people home watching that night did not see that too and know exactly what is going on. Klimm is a loser, plain and simple and most people can see this and know it.
Freddy has a creepy, sneaky vibe to him. He often interrupts speakers he doesn't care for, while allowing butt kissers to prattle on well past allotted time.
All this drama about the contract seems wasted, since all Klimm has to do is turn it down. Crocker should have waited for a majority. If Klimm is the sinner you think he is, you should be furious at crocker for turning him into a saint in the press and in living rooms all over town.
I didn't see it that way. I thought the Crocker Six - especially Farnham, Norman, and Canedy - did an excellent job of presenting themselves. Klimm has made himself an issue. This can't be good for him or the town.
I am curious about one thing, the six councilors who attempted to oust Klimm have been labeled as "fiscal conservatives" but Milne is about as bleeding heart a liberal as they come...what is his reason(s) for becoming involved other than simply being a wimpy loser as usual???
Milne has always been a tree hugger and was in favor of all that waste of land bank money for sure. But on the other hand he has realized all along that Klimm WAS, HAS BEEN and IS the biggest problem in our town. So there he does deserve credit. I always try to give anyone credit where it is due and he DOES NOT GET CREDIT for SCREWING THE 300 people in Stewarts Creek for sure. On the other hand, Milne did help out immensely in getting the signatures for the charter change and the charter commission. He helped finish the signatures up to get that on the ballot.
But once he got on the charter commission he melted down to that dirtbag Richard Clark who is another Barnstable lifetime hack. Clark seems to have an ego similar to Klimm's. So Milne gets ZERO credit for melting down to Clark. That whole thing turned out to be a waste and a JOKE like Richard Clark himself.
So you see, Milne is not a John Klimm fan, that much i do know. I was quite friendly with Milne back when he was working with us to get the signatures for the charter change but like I said, I lost faith in him when he melted down to Clark and then when he screwed over the people in Stewarts Creek.
And by the way, as I predicted, NOT ONE person from Stewarts creek showed up the other night. Klimm and this council screwed them ALL over and there was NOT ONE with the balls enough to show and speak last Thursday night. Disgraceful is about all I can say. Pitiful
Breaking News:
WXTK reported this morning that Botsini-Prime aka Wendy's lost their court challenge of the airport project and access road. Daniel Santos was on the radio this morning stating the terminal and tower will open this October.
This is all about perception versus reality. The papers and Thursday's theatrics at BHS have painted a very black and white picture of an attempt at a hostile takeover. Crocker is portrayed as the bully with a "personal vendetta". This is similar to what happened with Joakim's recall. The only good that's come from any of this is that people are finally learning about town govt.
They could and might just appeal that verdict in which case what you say may not be true.
Good question. Milne kicked and screamed for a mayoral charter until he was seated on the charter commission. Then suddenly the word "mayor" never crossed his lips again. He helped draft the warmed over piece of crap charter his fellow commissioners are trying to sell the voters, again, now. It sucks. They all suck. Milne stayed home the night Crocker put the fix on Joakim's recall election date. Today Greg is avoiding calls from Sea Street, where they're going to have to dig up the road again because the 30 year old plans apparently didn't work. F'n morons.
Can anyone find out if Judge Gordon Piper or a family member of his, owns a home in Barnstable, Yarmouth?
I remember the incident with Mr. Julius and judge Coonan, the judges wife worked for the barnstable schools as a teacher. The same judge sat on Mr. Julius lawsuit against the town of barnstable. Could this be the long arms of barnstables administration, reaching into the long arms of boston?
Town Council craziness continues....
The pro-Klimm side of the Barnstable Town Council now seems to be targeting Greg Milne. There has been an accusation the after the council meeting the other night, Greg Milne took or stole the Public Comment sign in sheet. The sign in sheet is consider as part of the official record of the meeting. Town Clerk Linda Hutchenrider has requested that the sign in sheet be brought to her office. However it is still missing as of this morning.
Sure, Klimm will need to do a ton of deflecting in this one. Gary Lopez has been writing a post on all of this garbage for two days now and when he gets it up, everyone will see just what most of this is all about. WAIT till you all read his post a and see for yourselves. I know much of it but not all. Let's just say, Fred Ciirigotis for Town Manager anyone?
Unfortunately this town is a joke. Klimm is a joke. Chirigotis is a joke. The seven morons are a joke. Go ask around town and see what other people think. These guys are all looked at as one big JOKE.
Funny, about 12 or so of us have known this now for HOW LONG?!
Can't wait till I read the papers. Does anyone think the press can figure any of this out? The Times sure as hell won't
What possible motive would anyone have to steal the sign in sheet?
What the hell happened at the Regatta? It seems as though this "incident" between Grissom and a Klimm relative may really be at the core of all the council drama. The Niedzwiecki dismissal shows what happens when a trusted associate is found guilty of disloyalty, etc. It is political genius to then flip the situation and turn it into a plausible drive to purge all opposition from the council. In the absence of any investigation\inquiry Barnstable residents can only speculate and wait for facts to dribble out.
There was some word that Dave Still at the Patriot might know the story but if he does, he is sitting on it. I have always liked Dave but I think he has always liked Klimm and Dave has more enthusiasm for Klimm and his bank of nobody's than many of us. If Dave does know the truth he should share this as a responsible journalist but will he?
As for Klimm, no wonder why he does not want any investigation to be done. If this is true that he put fast Freddie up to doing his dirty work, this could end up being just cause for him to have been fired. Last, the fact that he hired a lawyer is also very troubling to many people from around here but as these tidbits of truth filter out then the pieces of the puzzle will begin to be placed together. In the meantime maybe the Patriot will surprise us all.
The council drama is a leader fight between Crocker and Chirigotis. All thes other issues are bull.
Remember Jimmy Crocker complaining the town employees were not identifying themselves as such last Thursday night? Maybe Crocker wanted the list but had Greg Milne grab it for a hand off later.
The only additional informaton that has been revealed is that the relative of John Klimm is his neice. Given this fact one can infer just what might or might not have happened in this case. Clearly what ever happened upset John Klimm which is why he brought the matter to Chirigotis in the first place.
The timeline of events in this mess dates back to 2/17/11 and a council meeting which Jimmy Crocker was absent from. There was an executive session at the end of the meeting and it is a safe bet this when Fred Chirigotis informed the council of the incident at the Regatta. The next day 2/18/11 Fred Chirigotis had a one one one meeting with Donald Grissom which Grissom abruptly walked out of. Again another safe bet here, that Fred informed Donald Grissom that the town council was now aware of the Regatta incident.
Jimmy Crocker is using this mess to further his own agenda to purge town hall of anyone who disagrees with him. He has probably had this in the planning stages for awhile and just waiting for a perfect opptunity. The Grissom mess gave him the oppertuntity to go after both Fred and John Klimm. There is no better way to clean the town hall house then starting at the top with Fred and John.
Frank:
What you say is only partly true. As you likely know, Klimm is a schemer, a politician and a manipulator, among other things. You see, Klimm is being paid about 147k a year. I am told that he has enough time to walk away tomorrow and retire and if he did, his pension is rumored to be about 118k a year, or so. So look at it this way:
Klimm now sees himself working and running our town (or so he thinks he does) for about only 29k a year, the 147k minus the 118k. Therefore, he seems to have figured it out that he will either demand more money to stay on or..... ready for this?
Is it possible that he figured out that by fingering these eveil six (Crocker, Canedey, Munafo, Milne, Norman and Farnham) and getting them ALL unelected or bounced out. Thus come November if and when he is able to get five or six of HIS OWN PHONIES and CRONIES in their seats, then at THAT POINT he could go BACK to the council and ASK FOR MORE$$$$$$$$$$$.
Don't laugh. In my opinion, this is Klimm all the way. He is a control freak who HAS to control everything. he is a CONTROL FREAK who has to HAVE POWER over everyone and everything! Go ask Paul Niedzweicki, that is if you could ever get Paul to talk which is doubtful. But this is typical Klimm all the way.
Come the fall after the elections, wait. Watch and see.... SEE if he does not go running back to the town council and demand more $$$$$$$$$.
In my opinion, THIS is what this is all about. This guy is a complete idiot, plain and simple. You see, if these morons on this council give him what he wants, then he makes sure they GET WHAT THEY WANT! Case in point, when Janet Joakim wanted the Blanchard's sliquor store to be turned down, who was there? Klimm. And what happened with that fiasco? WE LOST THE FINEST AND BEST ZONING BOARD WITH LIKELY THE MOST YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THIS STATE! And no one did a damn thing about it. The voters and taxpayers in this town are just plain STUPID and could care less about a damn thing. So who knows, maybe the voters here will once again be STUPID enough to put in six more Klimm robarts and then he will have his 100% control of every damn thing in the town.
WAKE UP!
Yes and no. Crocker is fighting the image of an also ran after getting bounced the voters for State Senate and rejected for the Council presidency. He's picked one too many fights with Richardson, Chirigotis and now Klimm gunning for him. I'm sure he will survive.
Klimm has never thought much of the Council and seems to go out of his way to promote weak candidates to reinforce his position. This is not uncommon on the Cape.
Why does Demet work with the likes of Joakim, Tinsley and Hersey? Because, they are no threat to him. Why did Stills slam the blogs so long and so hard? Because, they were a threat to him. Even Lopez has this delusion that he is the only blogger in town when he was long since been eclipsed by other digital outlets.
The lack of viable competition or reasonable choices for information and candidates is holding back our dialogue. Barnstable is stuck in the mud and will remain that way until we break through the barriers imposed by established interests.
Dave Still did everything he could to cover Janet Joakim during her recall. He'll do the same for the status quo now, and always, or he'll be out of a job.
It's entirely possible this crisis started when Grissom chose to leave a tip of 12.5%., which under the circumstances would be nothing less than a deliberate act of professional suicide.
lol - you know, you are probably right.
Couldn't they just get a copy from the clerk?
The whole night was so surreal I'm sure someone just forgot to pick it up and it got dumped in the trash.
There were several eyewitnesses to Greg Milne taking the clipboard. As for getting a copy from the clerk the list is considered as part of the minutes which can not be copied until the council approves the minutes from 7/14 at then next meeting which is in August.
Clearly Greg did not want the clerk to even have the list in her office.
"Clearly" Greg didn't want the clerk to have the list? I'm not clear on that at all. Video of the meeting was available the next day. It wasn't like the speakers made a secret of their names or their association to the town. As for alleged "eyewitnesses", I haven't heard a single one come forward.
If Greg Milne had to walk in to the clerk's office and ask for the list he would have to tell the clerk why he wanted it. Taking the list himself gives him and the other five access to it with no questions asked.
Transcribing the names of the speakers from the video would be somewhat time consuming where as simply taking the list took just seconds.
maybe he was collecting signatures for his failed charter drive...
He was doing that before the meeting which is why he was a few minutes late and missed the roll call.
FYi - THAT WAS A JOKE ;)
Why would leaving a 12.5% tip be cause for temination of your job? Maybe the service was terrible. Anyone can leave whatever they want for a tip according to the service given to you. Why would someone be asked to leave their job just because they left a smaller tip and it happened to be Mr. Klimm's niece? I just don't get it. I can't see this as cause for Mr. Grissom's termination.
One does not need to give a reason for requesting public documents. You keep trying to demonize the crocker 6 "Taking list himself gives him and the other five access..." on pure speculation and rumor. Milne is certainly capable of such an act, I just don't see him taking the risk. Sounds like another set up to me.
It might be easier to get to the bottom of this by simply picketing the Regatta Restaurant Saturday night, starting around 7pm. "1,2,3,4, why is Grissom's job no more?"
"5,6,7,8, tell is why our town ain't great!"
This whole sequence of events is beyond childish...
One thing I have always enjoyed about this blog is it utter lack of any sense of humor. At least the fool on COG talks about "lying lepors", whatever the heck that is.
If you want humor, watch town council. We couldn't possibly compete against those clowns.
WHATTSA MATTA? You no lika my chant?
<span>What's on your mind...</span>
To be perfectly honest, I'd prefer to change the subject entirely. I used a quote from a children's story in this post for a reason.
o.k. I just stumbled across some dusty old blog called "barnstableblog", where they refer to this and another blog about a billion times as a "hate blog". Who the hell authored that thing?
"<span>One does not need to give a reason for requesting public documents..."</span>
The sign in sheet is considered as part of the minutes of the meeting which do become public until the council approves them at the next meeting. The town clerk would be more then justified in asking why someone wanted part of meeting minutes that have not been approved
Wrong. The clerk's job is to provide public documents to the public, period. If docs aren't available until approved, clerk's job is to inform joe public of that fact.
You and your town hall pals need to figure out, after all these years, that, as certain councilors have mentioned recently, "the people" (voters, taxpayers, etc.) are at the TOP rung of town govt. Clerk is elected, and we pay her salary. It is not her job to snoop into our motives for obtaining documents to which we have every right to procure. You regularly attempt to misinform readers on this blog. Stop it.
Your right about the general public going into the clerk office and asking for document. However I was not referring to the general public, I was referring to another elected official. The clerk as a right to know what other town officials want with documents in her office.
For the record this discussion started because Greg Milne was accused of taking the public comment signup sheet from last weeks council meeting. That sheet is supposed to be handed in to the town clerk at the end of the meeting. However as of this past Monday it was still not in the clerk's office and that is raising questions.
Just yesterday someone requested a copy of John Klimm's contract and the recent contract revision, both of which are part of his personnel file. The clerk's office refused the request for the copy.
Wrong. Wrong. And again, Wrong.
I have to disagree with about my being wrong on this.
I know how Linda Hutchenrider runs her office and was in there on morning when two members of the recent charter commission were seeking documents. Linda asked both charter commissioners why they wanted the documents and who else was going to see them. It is unforntunate that she has to do this but it has become nessacary over the last 5 years.
As for Greg Milne, the allegation was forwarded to me on Monday evening and is quite credible.
As for the request for a copy of John Klimm's contract I suggest you read the last 2 posts over on http:www.capecog.com for more information.
"she has to do this but it has become nessacary over the last 5 years."
Yea, right. She has to break the law to protect the establisment...
"the allegation was forwarded to me on Monday..."
Who are you working for?
I was actually the one who went yesterday to ask for the copy of the document. Per the public records law, they have ten days to give me this, and the clock started at ten yesterday am. Trust me, they WILL give me that copy of the document. We have already spoken to two lawyers at the AG's office and with the Sec of State so if the town clerk wants to play any games, this might be political suicide for her but I don't think she will be that foolish.
I suspect that the town queen big shot lawyer Ruth Weil might try to block us from getting this but it won't work. They will merely make things worse for themselves as it will prove they are trying to hide something. SO WHAT ELSE IS NEW in KLIMMSTABLE?!
It is possible that the clerk's office might have received some kind of letter from Klimm's bigshot lawyer but no one knows. If anyone knows of this please do let us know. This would be a big NO NO and could land someone in real trouble but it is only speculation at this point. I look at it this way:
We made a request to see the document which is a public document. There is NO reason (valid) for them to keep us, we the PEOPLE, we the PUBLIC, from seeing this except again, if someone is trying to hide something or if someone id LYING..... So if thy refuse to give this copy of the document then so be it. We will let the AG and SEC of State's lawyers deal with the town clerk, the town lawyer and King Klimm...
pretty simple yeah?
The town clerk was out at some conference and will be back in Monday. i intend to call her and we will know Monday am if they intend to play games. it should take her 5 minutes to get me that copy. Come Monday everyone will know.
Good day to all.
I am not working for anyone, the allegation about Greg Milne was sent in a mass emailing to a large number of people Monday night. This is how I received it.
As for Linda Hutchenrider the situation is what it is and has been brought on by the actions of a select few.
Plz post the email. I'd like to see it.
I will check with the author of the email since it was distributed to a private email list.
<span>I will check with the author of the email since it was distributed to a private email list. There is other information in the email that is not for public consumption so I will need approval from the author to post it here.

Breaking News: Alan Goddard no longer supports Greg Milne. He's going around apologizing to everyone for "being wrong" about Milne. This FYI person is either Goddard or TJ. Who else is always hanging around town hall during the day? Don't hold your breath waiting for that e-mail!
A friend of mine just got back from his weeks vacation in Bar Harbor Maine. He told me there were no kids, or adults with their pants hanging down showing their underwear, there were no loud radios from cars blasting, kids and adults held the doors open for you, people smiled at you they were very friendly, and the small business owners would go out of their way to help you. He said Bar Harbor, Maine is a very enjoyable and relaxing place. Him and his family then went to Freeport Maine, they could not believe all the Outlet stores that are there. He said, the town is so clean again the people were so friendly. Thhere hot dog, sausage, cold drink vendors with their carts on main street.
Then he said: Barnstable has no comparission too Bar Harbor and Freeport. The kids and Adults are walking around with their underwear showing, the cars going down the streets with the radios blasting. The way the people show their friendlyness in Barnstable: If they like you they will shoot you in the arm or leg, if they don`t like you they will shoot to kill you.
The Independence Park would be a perfect place to bring in Outlet Stores. Why is it the leaders in these 2 towns of Maine have the brains to bring in these outlett stores that create good paying jobs. Barnstables leaders sit on their hands and do nothing. My friend is seriously thinking of taking his family and moving to maine. He said there are ATV trails that go for miles, the ocean, Arcadia National, his kids had a ball. Even his children want too leave the cape and move to maine.
It sounds like a good idea.
It looks like this foolishness will be dragged out all summer and into November This isn't about governance. This is about control..

Just so you know, you've been played and they are still playing with you.
It's the last four days to pull papers for council. It's worth checking for new candidates.
<span>What's on your mind...</span>
As of Friday there have been 4 new people who have taken out papers to run in the council election:
Precinct 1
LEVERONI PETER
Precinct 3:
HERSEY MICHAEL P
Precinct 7:
RUSSO ALBERT J
PRYGOCKI PETER M
Both Hersey and Leveroni are attorneys and you can never have enough on the council, apparently. It's unclear if Leveroni is a BCFG candidate or independent. The fact he isn't Canedy may help him in general. Perhaps Hersey and Richardson can bump Munafo out in the primary. Russo spoke eloquently at the recent Klimmfest but probably is a fringe candidate. Does anyone know anything about Prygocki?
In a recent poll here, Hersey got one vote - probably his own.
In the 2007 Precinct 3 primary Micheal Hersey lost by only 5 votes to Munafo
That was before the ZBA fiasco and Hersey's stint as a replacement player.
In 2007 Hersey interrupted his campaign to go to an international regatta. If he stays home this time he may get a different result. Given Barnstable voters' complete lack of political memory, the ZBA fiasco may no longer be a factor. Most voters seem to be content waiting for their next helping of Happytown slop.
Hersey has an office in the same small building as Rugo. There could be no more compelling case for his triumphant election to the council.
Munafo is MUCH stronger today than 4 years ago. Anyone who thinks otherwise is sadly mistaken.
Bill Cronin will be on the ballot. We collected a few extra signatures this evening to get him over the top. When I introduced Bill as a fiscal conservative "who is trying to get a hand on the taxes around here" folks ripped the petition out of my hands and signed.
I didn't meet one person who knew Tinsley. We met one Klimm-nik around Compass Circle, an elderly lady with a dog the size of a teacup. She promised to call her friends in Osterville on what's his name.

busy at work..might be a couple of days...
Jen Cullum hasn't returned papers. Anyone know, if she still plans to do so?
Does anyone know <span>PRYGOCKI PETER M? Doing a little research for my next post...
</span>
Cullum is dealing with some family issues, also this is a busy season. She needs to bear down at some point. Milne has a strong base in 13 and could well refer his people to Jones. She may own Sea St. and Stewart's Creek , but that leaves West Hyannisport and east of Ocean St, A little cultivation of the GHCA would be an excellent idea. A lot of the establishment would love to see Bob "Mt. Rushmore" Jones back at the dais. Being an effective community organizer and actually getting elected to the council are two different skill sets.
Jen Cullum's Father died last week. Not sure she's up for council rodeo.
Why doesn't someone go over to her store and ask her if she needs some help?
I've got a camapign in a box gathering dust in the basement. It would be easy enough to put her name on it. If she needs help with signatures, I'm free this Friday. If you want her to run, lets help her.
The thought of Mt. Rushmore on the dias playing the deciding role on a 6-6 council, isn't pretty.
Prygocki seems to have attended the Citizen Leadership Academy.
Cullum is in according to the Patriot. Here are the current standings:

Tinsely hasn't returned papers. If we're lucky, he'll walk.
The following comment is from page A3 of today's Cape Cod Times and comes Hank Farnham:
"Yeah it was a problem," Farnham countered Thursday, adding that given the large number of people who have spoken out on Klimm's behalf and the use of the first vote for political purposes, a second vote is appropriate."
He is referring to the 6/23/vote to end John Klimm's contract.
You need to post more of this article to provide the proper context. The problem is that the contract re-vote won't be held until September.
Here's the text:
The decision to take up the old Open Meeting Law complaints and other issues instead of giving the full council an opportunity to vote on the offer to Klimm doesn't make any sense, Crocker said.
Crocker, who voted for the new contract, said he proposed another vote because two councilors, including Joakim, were not present for the first vote and because he believes the underpinnings for the original decision may have changed.
Crocker has said that he is unsure how he would vote if given another chance. "Why is it last on the list?" he said of the contract proposal. "I would think it would be the most important thing on this agenda."
The council has had larger agendas this year, Crocker said. "I worry that it isn't gamesmanship that has kept us off the agenda," he said.
Crocker and Councilor Henry Farnham were present at the agenda meeting Tuesday and did not raise concerns about the vote being put off then, Chirigotis said.
"Yeah it was a problem," Farnham countered Thursday, adding that given the large number of people who have spoken out on Klimm's behalf and the use of the first vote for political purposes, a second vote is appropriate.
Farnham said the Open Meeting Law complaints should be addressed in a public meeting and, if that is done, the council will be able to move on.
"I absolutely think that the public deserves to know what the story is behind these various allegations," he said.
Sorry but Hank Farnham's comment is as Greg Milne once said THE BALLGAME!
He admits there was an ulterior motive of politics behind the 6/23 vote when he says "....<span>and the use of the first vote for political purposes..." He is referring to the 6/23/11 vote of 6-5 to shorten John Klimm's contract.</span>
Hank's comment makes liars out of both Norman and Munafo should end the council career of all three.
ah..I think you got that backwards. The reference to "political purposes" is what is driving Hank's request for a second review of the Town Manager. The Town Manager gamed the contract negotiations to influence the elections - not the other way around.
The key words in Hank's comment are "<span><span>the first vote" which is a clear reference to the vote taken on 6/23/11 that is the vote the Jimmy Crocker wants to revisit. He admitted the truth that the first vote was political and nothing else. </span></span>
If he meant the way you claim he did his comment would be in two separate sentances.
In you have not heard, recalls are being contemplated for Fred Chirigotis and Janet Joakim. I can understand why some people might want to recall Fred over the Klimm contract mess. However recall Joakim at this point makes no sense what so ever.
Hey, they should ALL RESIGN, KLIMM FIRST! We have 13 clueless councillors, period, INCOMPETENT and clueless. As for Klimm, the guy, in MY opinion is a fraud for a manager and clueless on just about everything. All this clown cares about is HIRING HIS PALS and SPENDING, or should I say WASTING our damn tax money!
And hey, by the way, how many people on this blog recall Jimmy Walsh and I FIGHTING THESE ASSWIPES way back in 2005 when they pissed away over $ 20MILLION to buy that puke Hyannis Golf Course?! REMEMBER what we TOLD THEM WOULD HAPPEN WITH GOLF MEMBERSHIPR, ROUNDS and REVENUES?!
Read PAGE ONE of the Barnstable Enterprise today and READ FOR YOURSELF! It states Revenue DECLINES at Town Municipal Golf Courses...........
Gee, what a SURPRISE!
And WE TOLD THE ASSWIPE KLIMM and his 13 TOWN CLOWN PUPPETS way back then that this would happen! Think those asswipes would listen?
Nope. You see, these geniuses have ALL the answers! Talk about MORONS! ALL of them!
The fact that we're all speculating about who meant what when and so forth means that we are not getting clear communication from our elected or appointed officials. let's blow through the smoke and mirrors and get to the facts. There should be another giant turnout at the next meeting, asking specific questions for the facts.
Joakim missed two meetings crucial to this issue intentionally. Then she filed a meritless OML violation out of pure spite, furthering the council divide. She is appearing at secret meetings influencing and encouraging the recall of John Norman, and the ouster of incumbents. Grounds for recalling Janet Joakim are simple: because she's Janet Joakim!
I do agree that Janet is guilty of inciting riot. If papers are submitted to recall Norman, I would support recalls of both Joakim and Chirigotis. Might as well get everyone on the ballot.
Joakim left the meeting on 6/16 early and did not know that JIMMY CROCKER was going to ask to go into executive session to discuss John Klimm. She did miss the meeting on 6/23 which was scheduled with just two days notice on 6/21. She had a medical appointment on 6/23 that she could not reschedule.
It should also be noted that on 6/16 James Tinsley left early and Rick Barry took the night off as well.
not listening. If Norman is recalled, Joakim and Chirigotis shall be as well. Support is growing by the minute.
Crocker was instrumental in getting the Joakim and Milne recalls scheduled for awkward dates, thus helping to insure their failure. If any of the new recalls come to pass, will the C'ville\Klimm seven conspire on the timing of a ballot? Norman's could be placed on the Election Day ballot while Chirigotis and Joakim receive the benefit of a ridiculous date. Crocker no longer has the votes or motive to run this particular show.
Timing is everything. If enough signatures for Norman's recall are certified by the town clerk, word is that recalls for Chirigotis and Joakim will be gathered quickly enough to have all three recalls before the council at the same time. Somebody is already doing ground work on Joakim's, as there were two "recall joakim" bumper stickers spotted around town yesterday.
